Caradon Hill dominates the Caradon Mining District and the ring of mines and mining settlements that circle the bottom of the hill. In an area that is physically challenging for many visitors, a drive up Caradon Hill provides a memorable experience with its panoramic views. Look over to the east and spot the chimney at Kit Hill, a key feature in the landscape of the nearby Tamar Valley Mining District with Tavistock.

There are views across the Caradon Mining District and far beyond from the top of the hill.
The ground at the top of Caradon Hill is undulating, boggy moorland with exposed rocks.
Caradon Hill is now dominated by the 237metre mast of the transmitting station.
