Liskeard and Liskeard & District Museum
Mining settlements and social infrastructure
While Liskeard is not part of the Caradon Mining District the town was built on the wealth created by the copper mining boom in the Caradon Mining District and is the gateway town to the Cornish Mining World Heritage Site.
Liskeard’s steep streets and lanes hold a wealth of historic buildings, shops, markets and public buildings.
The Liskeard & District Museum has a permanent collection including mining exhibits related to the Caradon Mining District along with changing exhibitions exploring and celebrating life in Liskeard over the years.
